Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr. Rafael Rivas-Vázquez is a neuropsychologist specializing in the evaluation of cognitive and behavioral dysfunctions. After graduating from Georgetown University, he earned his doctoral degree at Nova Southeastern University. He completed his clinical training at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital and received specialized training in neuropsychology at the University of Miami. In 2001, he earned a postdoctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Rivas-Vázquez currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University. He is board-certified in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Since 1995, he has been active in clinical research involving a wide range of neurological and psychiatric disorders. He has served as an investigator in over 200 clinical trials evaluating new therapeutic interventions for conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, depression, and ADHD. He has published numerous articles in medical and psychological journals and has presented at national and international conferences.

Dr. Rivas-Vázquez evaluates patients 16 years of age and older, addressing cognitive, behavioral, and developmental conditions.
