
Dr. Eileen Higgins is a board-certified general surgeon and obesity medicine specialist focused on adult and adolescent nutritional wellness. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, and completed her specialty training in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where she served as Chief Resident.
She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Her current practice focuses on helping patients manage weight and achieve optimal health through personalized nutritional strategies, lifestyle modifications, pharmacotherapy, and body composition analysis.
She also works with patients who may benefit from bariatric surgery referrals while maintaining continuous support. Dr. Higgins additionally helps underweight and ideal-weight patients optimize their health through precise assessments and care plans.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Higgins has contributed to community health education as a curriculum developer and lecturer for the Miami-Dade Public School System, promoting nutrition and wellness education.
