About Dr. Periut

Dr. Perla Periut is a dedicated neurologist with over 20 years of experience in diagnosing and treating disorders of the nervous system. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic. She completed her neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida and the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, as well as a transitional residency at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in Neurology and in the subspecialty of Vascular Neurology. Dr. Periut practices general neurology with compassion and attention to detail. She takes a holistic approach to patient needs and is widely recognized for her expertise in neurovascular diseases.

Her special interests include stroke, sleep medicine, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, spinal disorders, vertigo, neuropathies, and headaches. She is frequently invited for television and radio interviews on neurological topics.
